  Wish I could leave no stars! They basically insinuated my husband and I weren’t smart enough to know we need the flu shot. Then after going through all this discussion and paperwork, it wasn’t free at all like they promoted, but was going to cost over $100. At our next visit, we found out that store just doesn’t have a contract to accept Medicaid. I know for a fact there are plenty of folks in this area that rely on their Medicaid to get their medications. It’s a horrible disservice to your community to not accept this form of insurance. Life is hard enough!

  As of now, July 2017, the makeover given to this store by new owner Walgreens have greatly reduced the former store's wonderful collection of 5 and dime goodies like school supplies, light bulbs, shoe maintenance items, etc. The new arrangement carries more cosmetics and has added an entire wall of cold and freezer cases (useless in a few months when the new grocery store opens) where substandard products are sold at very high prices. There are less medical supplies than there used to be, as all the shelves have been lowered at lest 2 feet. The pharmacy is still well managed by Celestine, Donna and company. Say what you want they probably handle 100 times the prescriptions that Med One does. Sadly, the new owners interfere with the patient doctor relationship by refusing to fill scripts that the Corporation feels might get them into trouble. My Doctors and I know full well the interactions of all my medications - and unless the Insurance Company or the Federal Government has regulations about it, not selling me a legal script because the Walgreens Company is afraid of being sued is ridiculous.

  Edit: Went to the Rite Aid today for a quick stop for a gift bag before church. 8:15 and the store had not even opened yet. My husband went up to the door twice and the employees did not acknowledge him. Ridiculous. Awful. Especially the pharmacist named Beth. I don't even want to give one whole star. I'm sure she's a lovely individual; however, as a pharmacist she is not friendly, not patient, and not polite. The pharmacy is very slow and does not give updates when you (usually along with quite a few others) are waiting in line as the pharmacists type away on their computers. Also, without giving my prescription, I have been given a hard time on every single refill and/or new prescription I am written. Every. Single. One. By "hard time" I mean I have to call my doctor, my insurance provider, and explain why I need a refill. Isn't that supposed to be confidential? I have given this pharmacy a full year (as a benefit of the doubt) but I refuse to come back. I feel bad for the ONE polite lady I've encountered there.
